    7. How does the panel work?

All panelists will receive survey invitations by e-mail or by phone from Ipsos with links leading to questionnaires. There is no obligation for panelists to answer the questionnaires. Each questionnaire is only to be answered once. If you decide you are not interested to take part in a specific survey, you can always click on the survey’s "no reminders" link at the bottom of the invitation e-mail. This means that you will not receive reminders for that specific survey, but you will still receive survey invitations for other surveys. Please do not mark e-mails from Rewarding Panel as spam, as per previous section. Ipsos is not bound to send questionnaires to all panelists for each new survey; nor can Ipsos guarantee either a minimal or a maximal number of questionnaires that are sent out per year. When the necessary number of panelists has answered a questionnaire, Ipsos or its clients have the right to end the survey and reject further answers.

Please note that only one member of a household can be registered as a member of our panel. Furthermore, we can allow only one (1) account per panelist. We use automated checks to detect possible duplicate accounts, and reserve the right to close any duplicate accounts in order for you to participate again in our surveys. Otherwise, you will not be eligible to be invited to surveys.

Our panelists cannot participate in the surveys outside of their countries of residence. If you move to another country, then we have to cancel your panel membership.

    8. Acceptable use and participation

Ipsos is dedicated to creating an environment where members can participate safely and respectfully, keeping in mind the views and opinions of other Rewarding Panel members. While participating in the panel, you understand that any messages, opinions, information, pictures or any other materials posted by members are the sole responsibility of the person who posted the material.

When you use the Rewarding Panel Polls feature to create your own poll, or you upload, publish, create or submit any other content to or through the Rewarding Panel’s site or surveys, you accept that you are granting Ipsos full rights to use and distribute the results of that poll or content. In legal terms, this mean you grant Ipsos a full worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and irrevocable license to use, copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, perform and exploit such content for any commercial purposes whatsoever and in any manner seen fit.

During the registration process and during your participation in our research surveys, you agree to provide only true, accurate and complete information and agree to update the Panel account related information that you supplied to ensure it remains up to date and accurate.

    10. Children’s privacy

For any panels or surveys aimed at children, we will always seek prior consent from our panelists that are a parent, legal guardian or other person legally responsible for the child, before inviting such child to join a panel or take part in the research.

    11. Rewarding you for answering online surveys

Each time you complete a questionnaire, before the deadline, you will receive a reward upon completion. The sort and size of the reward or of the prize draw may vary according to the survey difficulty, length or other similar elements.

If you request to be unsubscribed from the database, you have one month to redeem your bonus points and exchange them for vouchers or gifts. At the end of this period the points account will be automatically deleted.

For the avoidance of doubt, Ipsos does not make any payment to panelists for participation in its panel or any of its surveys.

    12. Forwarding of registered data

In certain very specific cases, such as after you agree to take part in a product test or when you place a gift order or to process the delivery of rewards, Ipsos will forward your personal information or survey answers to another market research institute, end client or a supplier, as applicable.

Further, in certain cases, and with your explicit consent, Ipsos may forward your personal information and individual survey answers to another market research institute which is Ipsos’ business partner, for the following scope: sending you survey invitation by e-mail or by phone with links leading to surveys or using your personal information for prize/gift delivery or prize draws (if the case) related to participation to these market research institutes’ surveys. Nevertheless, such third party will be required to observe the condition that the data can be used only for statistical, research and/or prize/gift delivery/prize draw organization purposes and bound not to forward or further disclose data such as name, postal address or other personal information that could serve to identify you.

With your explicit consent, when asked in a survey, we may pass your individual survey responses together with your personal information to the client who commissioned the survey. The client will use this information only for the purposes as explained when asking for your explicit consent.

We may also send your information to our sub-contractors who may carry out some of the work we do on our behalf and under our control and responsibility. This may involve transferring your personal information to other countries, however we can reassure you that we take great care to ensure that any transfers are carried out securely and in compliance with all applicable data protection and data privacy legal requirements.

In case you have become a member of the Panel through a third-party supplier, this supplier may be informed that you have become a member of the Panel and may have access to the information you provided during the registration process. Nevertheless, the third party shall observe the condition that the data can be used only for statistical or prize/gift delivery purposes and bind itself not to forward or further disclose data such as name, postal address or other personal information that could serve for identifying a specific panelist.

    13. Use of Cookies, Digital Fingerprinting and other information on your device

For statistical purposes, quality control, validation and, more importantly, to prevent us sending you reminders for any on-line survey you have already completed, we may place and store on your device “cookies”.

We also automatically capture information about your IP Address, operating system, screen display settings, browser type, and use of Flash and Java and to detect whether your device has a webcam. We use this information to:

  • Ensure that the survey questionnaire is delivered in a form suited to your device use.
  • Assist in providing support to you should you have difficulty accessing or completing a survey.
  • Anonymised information is also used for research purposes. For example, to determine the percentage of our panelists that uses a certain type of browser in a specific country.

The data collected in this process and the digital fingerprint created is not tied to any of your personal information, is stored on secured servers, and is used only to help prevent panelists from completing the same survey many times and for no other purpose.

As part of the online advertising research and internet usage research studies we carry out, we may also read cookies placed when you visit other websites to see if you have visited the website of, or been exposed to certain online advertising placed on websites by of one of our clients, as detailed in the below table.

  • Collect information about the websites you visit for our research and looking at what types of websites our panelists visit compared to other internet users.
  • You can opt-out of any of the above research activities by emailing panelksa@rewardingpanel.com

By agreeing with these Terms and Conditions and willing to become a member of Rewarding Panel, you also explicitly consent and authorize Ipsos to place and use “cookies” on your device and also to use the digital fingerprinting technology upon your device hardware and software and to capture and store information about your IP Address, operating system, screen display settings, browser type, and use of Flash and Java and to detect whether your device has a webcam attached, so that we can send you invitations to take part in research that requires use of a webcam. You can opt-out of this research activity by emailing panelksa@rewardingpanel.com.
